You would probably love it, slower paced friendly people and probably some decent job opportunities with the right education.
Depending on where you are from, the winters are alot milder. You would be close to Pigeon Forge and Gutenberg, beautiful state parks and hiking trails.
We moved to Tennesse three years ago after a lifetime in Indiana and we love it here.

I live 30 min. from Knoxville and I'm sorry I would not move there. Maybe some where close to it. My Aunt lives there and cause of all the businesses that use coal to heat, She now has black lung just as if she had worked in a coal mine. The areas around it are beautiful. Like Gatlinberg, Norris, Caryville and so forth. Good Luck.

Advantages are the lower cost of living compared to a lot of places. Disadvantages would be the New Madrid Fault Zone, which means you could be affected by several earthquakes at once!
