My husband entered this country thru marriage to his fist wife for the sole purpose of entering the US. He lied to INS. I am divorcing due to abuse am I obligated to report to INS?

I think you were obligated when you first found out. You loved him and wouldn't tell on him till you got mad. That's not nice.

By law you are required to report to the BCIS ( formerly the immigration service). On all the documents he states that he is telling the truth about all the questions on his application. Go to the site USCIS and there is a toll free number ( a customer service number to call an 800 number) you should call that number and report abuse and fraud. If you do not and later on they find about it, they can also charge you for contributing to fraud. In this case he is subject to deportation. You should do this asap.

You were obligated to report him before you got mad at him. Now you would only be doing it for revenge.
If that's how you want to be, then do it. Then they will ask you why you waited until your marriage fell apart to report him.
You would not be wanting to do this if you were still happily married.

So why did he marry you? Yes by all means. Unless you wish to keep supporting him financially. Like all the rest of us are doing.
