Yes they are and have been for as long as I can remember which is about 30 years.
Some people say that the reason Man U are hated so much is because of all the trophies that they won in the 90's. But their fans were arrogant and obnoxious in the 70's and 80's when they won next to fook all.
So nothing has changed over a long period of time. Obviously there will be true Man U fans who are like your normal football supporter, but the vast majority are wankers.

Yes they are. And there's nothing better than winding them up. They think they support the best team in the world. Having lost against City in the last few seasons, they're not even the best team in Manchester!! For a laugh, check out the best comments on the 'Manchester Buccaneers' website. Even the former "Great Captain" Roy Keane thought the were the worse fans when he said that many of Reds fans were more interested in their "prawn sandwiches" than shouting for the team.
