The only "sign" you will ever need is when he asks you out or asks for your phone number. Romance is not meant to involve mind reading. If he doesn't have what it takes to step up and ask you out/ask for your # then either he's just not that into you or he's exceptionally shy. Either way it's his loss and you shouldn't have time to worry when there are so many guys who would be into you and would overcome their shyness and ask for your phone number. You really need the read the books sited below. Beyonce even said in an interview that the 1st one (below) "changed my life!" and helped her meet the man of her dreams.
