you might need a good tune up,also include a new fuel filter in,,when you do it or have it done,,also a new an filter,,the air filter alone will make it run bad,i own a repair shop,,and do this all the time id check and make sure it has a good air filter,,and like i said it may need a real good tune up,,good luck,i hope this help,s

Have it checked by a mechanic and ask him to tune up the engine. Also, if the car is old, then probably the compression is no longer what it used to be, in which case the engine will need attention.

If it also idles rough, it could be a burned out coil pack, which happened to mine...but realistically, it could be quite a number of things...not as easy to work on as the older cars.

Also have catylitic converter checked could be clogged youll lose alot of power also if this is the case
