Here's what you should do. Be a lady and be friendly. Tell him privately that you think he's a nice guy but that you're not romantically interested in him. Tell him that you think he should tell everyone the truth. Help him to save face. Tell your friends that you think that he's trying to get attention.

This has happened to me before. I told the guy that I didn't like him, but he got upset. We had been really good friends, and it's taking a long time to get back to where we were. I suggest setting him up with somebody else- that way he will have somebody else to concentrate on, and will leave you alone. Or maybe if he sees you with another guy he will get the picture. Try to spare this guys feelings at all costs, but at the end of the day, you need to think about yourself. As for your friends, tell them that nothing is going on between yourself and this guy, but if they were good friends they would stick by you no matter what.Even if you were dating this guy, it's none of their business.

Don't give him the attention. Tell your friends that you don't like him and aren't with him. They're your friends, they should KNOW that. If they don't believe you, then they're not your friends. Just ignore this guy, people will see you're not really interested. If it turns nasty, then beat him at his own game, tell people you had to dump him because you caught him cheating with a 12 year old. That will spoil his fun.

Tell him straight up that you are not feeling him like that. And to stop spreading **** about you and him dating. And your friends aren't your friends if they are trippin on you aver some dude that is lying at that. F*ck your friends too you don't need them if they are acting like that. Tell dude to back off and I hate to say it but if he keeps on then tell him in front of a crowd to embarrass him he might get the picture then.

Tell him in front of a large group of people that one you don't like him, never have and two you would NEVER date him. That should stop the rumors. Good luck!

why dont you confront him? you tell him that its not cool to spread lies like that, especially to the whole school. And make it very very clear to him that you just want to be friends. tell him that if he keep sperading hte lies about you and him being together; he dont even consider him as friends anymore and he is not the only one that can spread rumors. if necessary, do what he does. spread rumors about ihm and let him taste his own medicine :P

Usually when this happens to me, I introduce the guy to someone much more suitable for him. This way, everybody's happy.

well if you don't like him, dont date him out of pity/pressure.
and you need to tell him, straight on, that you don't appreciate this, and if he keeps behaving this childishly (sp?) he'll never have a real gf.
