Ghandi started a "quiet" revolution, refusing to do any sort of work for the occupying British, inciting all the people of India to do the same. Eventually, Britain got the message and India got its freedom

After the death of Lokmanya Tilak Gandhiji dominated the political scene in India. His technique of NON VOILENCE made him, the champion . It was underhis leadership the movements like ,Quit India,Noncop., wre staged sucessfully.

gandhi was the one who introduced AHINSA in the indian freedom struggle. He used the path of non-violence & truth.

non co-operation movement started in 1920 (if i am not wrong).
it meant no use of foreign goods(clothes manly), foreign education (attending national schools only)
this had adverse effects on british trade. but gandhi called off the movement cos of violence in chowri chowra.
