Back in about 97 or so my counsin lived in San Diego. To make the movie Titanic they litterally built a Titanic for at least a good amount of the scenes.

He said he could see it from where he surfed but does anyone know where exactely it was? someone told me its stil there.

Also he told us that it was so well done that if they had stuck a engine in it it could have sailed. It was some 9 or 90 feet shorter then the real ship, had all the parts to it but no engines.

I know that they did build an exact replica for the movie. I thought it was done in Mexico but I could be wrong. I know that it's on the special feature section of either the VHS or DVD movies. I remember watching it. I'm looking for a copy of the Titanic cookbook listing the meals served and how to make them but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

It is amazing what can be done with props.. Things that would have been unheard of only 15 years ago.
