The bad news first, practically all sedan type cars since 2000 have transponders in the head of the key. This is a computer chip which must interface with the on board computer before the card will turn on. A locksmith and, or dealer will probably charge you in the vicinity of $ 150-$200 to make you anoither key. A duplicate can cost as much as $ 50 on up.

You could try calling a locksmith or actually several and ask them for estimates for a new key. You can also call your local Dodge dealership and explain the situation to them. They be able to cut you a new key for that model. Then I would go with the cheapest estimate.Just remember,if you call a locksmith on a weekend,it's probably much more expensive, so I would try to do it on a weekday,if you can wait.

The Dodge dealership will be able to make you another key which is not expensive. Just take your License registration an vehicle ID number to the dealer and they will do the rest. I would call first.

ugh I'd call a mobile locksmith. They can come out and make one key for @ 100 dollars, then you can go get a few spares made afterwards.
