I am German and need following sentence:

He helped actively to do sth.

Is that right grammar or somebody can tell me a better style?

sth = something

Sounds OK but the 'actively' seems unnecessary as his helping is an activity. So it's redundant. It would be tough to help without being active.
Was war denn der deutsche Satz dessen Uebersetzung dies sein soll?
