Logic and evolution would suggest the egg probably by some sort of genetic defect or a strange cross breed of 2 birds possibly.

The chicken came first after God created it. Then it layed the egg. This is the only worthwhile explanation because if the egg came first, there would have been no hen chicken to take care of the young and teach them how to survive.

i dunno i kinda think the egg to but where did the egg come from if there wasnt a chicken first to lay the egg but then again where did the chicken come from if the egg wasnt first since in fact chickens come from eggs?....what was the question again?
