I would say this is a international phenomenon. Not just happening in the States and UK but also, increasing in westernized parts of Asia too. This problem has been blamed on media exposure, internet porn accessibility, irresponsible/busy parents, peer pressure etc. Nobody can say for sure. More young people are also having sex and getting themselves pregnant or infected with HIV.

my brother in law never did any drug or drink until he got in car crash and the other person died. it was the other person fault but that guy landed on his windshield and ever since then hes did drugs and drink ( people just might have some problem and that's how they take care of them ) I'm not OK with drug or alcohol but people have problem

they think using such things make them something big or stylish among their friends...god...arent they educated at all...
