We've all seen them, fantastic anime series (and not so fantastic for that matter) with terrible Japanese to English dubbing. What we need now is a definitive answer to which is the worst.

I've seen horrible, HORRIBLE, english dubbing from a lot of shows. I mostly hate the dubbing 4Kids does with good animes that I've seen in Japanese already. They completely butcher the shows from changing the name to changing the storyline.
And the Sailor Moon english dub. I hated that one. They changed the character names, and things about the characters and I'm specifically referring to them changing Uranus and Neptune's relationship to cousin status.
I'm also not a fan of Viz's Naruto dub. The character's sound plum awful and that theme song just ain't doin' for me. Fortunately, they didn't change too much.
Yeah. I could go on and on about a whole lot of the English dubbing, but I won't. I've never heard any poor Japanese dubbing in anime. As a matter of fact, I think I'm about to start watching only Japanese dubs. Though I think I'm too much of an anime addict to watch a whole bunch of dubs of the same show.

I generally watch the Japanese language audio with english subtitles but maybe Battle of the Planets was dubbed. Could that be the worst?

Fruits Basket - they all sound about half retarded and like they are 7 years old in English. The voices don't fit the characters AT ALL and it ruins everything.

All the voices in Elfen Lied in English are really annoying except for Lucy/Nyu - she's amazing ... there is such a contrast ... they kinda get better as they go along, but I hate that really high pitched voice some english voice actors do for young female anime girls - blaah!

Inuyasha is slightly bad at the beginning (well, Kagome), but they have all gotten a lot better as the series has progressed.

Akira!!!!!
That little grey dude had an awful voice when compared to the original Japanese version.
The one that Canada crashes into on his motorbike?

No way! I Just read what Dr Green wrote about "Battle of the Planets" I've been thinking of getting the DVD as I loved this show as a kid - with the bird themed costumes - but if they've screwed with it. Arrgghhh. Is it only the TV show though?
I saw it was on Bravo a couple of years ago with a different name but didn't realise they'd changed the story line as well. IDIOTS!!!

The worst dubbing I have seen on an Anime are those ones bought from Anime shops official version. Also, there's those when shown on TV that's dubbed... >_>

I never liked dubbed anime. I always prefer subbed anime. ^^

The worse dubbing I've seen so far:

When they change characters genders or personality to make them not gay, not crossdressers, etc. (Sailor Moon, others I can't think of at the moment)

I have to agree with the post about Battle of the Planets / Gatchaman.

I used to watch it as a kid, but saw it on tv recently and it had been redubbed with a completely different plot.
