It really isn't a common opinion. Nor is it a majority opinion. You cannot trust polls in general. The information is too easily manipulated by how you ask the question. In some cases poll numbers are misrepresented by citing one section of a poll while ignoring other sections. President Bush won by the popular vote in the last election by more than 5 million votes, he was also the first president since Mr. Reagan to win more than 50% of the vote total. Poll numbers are being misrepresented by people answering this very question. Mr. Bush's current approval rating is 45% not 29%.
There are people who do not like Mr. Bush to the point of hatred, and they are a very vocal minority, which gives the impression that their numbers are greater than what they actually are. However, the vast majority have mixed opinions on the job he is doing. They may not like all of his policies, but it doesn't mean they hate the man. The President gets both the credit and the blame for what happens in the country. Currently, oil prices are dropping, there is not a lot of bad news being reported about Iraq, and Congress is making movement on hotbed issues like immigration. These are the primary causes for his numbers improving.

Most polls have a plus or minus 4 percentage points margin of error. So when King George's rating is at 28 percent, it could be either 24 percent or 32 percent, so, when he shows a 4 percent increase in popularity, it could be in the margin of error and his rating has actually stayed exactly where it was. He is unpopular in that less than half of those that originally supported him have said they would vote for him again. That's pretty bad when you consider that in Clinton's last year, more than half of those who voted for his opponent said they would switch if that election were held on the day of the survey. Crazy, ain't it? I think King George needs a new catch phrase. He's just about worn out the 9/11 reference and the war on terror.

It is the same here in Canada. The news media is totally bias and Liberal .It was so sickening to hear the blatant campaigning by the Media last election and most people don't have minds of their own so if they see it on TV, well it must be true. It also doesn't help that the CBC 's head was given his job by the Liberal Government and all the judges are appointed by the Liberal Government,,yes appointed, not elected. They only elect them in a democratic society.

He's so far down in the popularity polls, the only way Bush can possibly go is UP!
Why do you think gasoline is down to $2.14 a gallon again? Why do you think the Heathrow Airport 'terrorist suspects' were apprehended?
Why do you think there's a rumor going around the Osama binLaden is dead?
It's all PLANTED - designed to help boost Bush's approval ratings and popularity before the mid-term elections. -RKO-

He has made a gain in the opinion poll. Congress has been rewriting a bill re. treatment of prisoners and wiretapping, its kinda hard to imagin they are in a good mood and happy with Bush. Asian countries are talking with N. Korea Bush refuses to join, leaving them to do all the talking. Kinda hard to imagin they are impressed with Bush. Iran has made it clear they aren't impressed, but then Bush has refused to talk leaving the talks to European nations, so its hard to imagin they are impressed either. As for Americans the price of gas has fallen so that puts them in a better mood and willing to withhold judgement.

It isn''t common opinion anywhere but in the liberally-biased media and on Y!A because the libs each have 5 different personalities on here.
We just come here and keep them busy so the rest of the country can live in peace.
