if someone tells a joke they don't laugh they go stright into telling someone they will burn in hell...its like they cant step away from the bilbe and enjoy life for a few moment why is this?

There are some Christians who are like that. Very straight forward and cannot break a sweat. People are people.
It does depend on the joke also. If it is a joke to put someone down or make fun of someone or even a race of people, there may not be too much to laugh about.
Then, it could just be the person and not so much as someone being a Christian. Some people, Christian or not, don't have a sense of humor at all. Everything is not funny to everybody.
That is just like some people who might be cute to one is not necessarily cute to someone else. It is a personal preference and not the fact that they are christian.
Now, there could a so-called joke, t hat a "Christian" person can see more into the joke, than perhaps the person who told it can. There are unlined statements that can be taken as more of something coming from satan than coming from a comedian trying to make people laugh.
If you are not funny, you are just not funny!! Don't blame it on the Christians. :D

That's kind of a stereotype. I'm a Christian, and I definately have a sense of humor. The last thing I would ever tell anyone is that they will burn in hell.
But, I get your drift though - some people think you have to be really serious all the time to have a relationship with God. I think people like that would be surprised at how much better they would feel if they just loosened up!

Oh and exactly how many Christians do you really know? Everybody that I know who's atheist or Wicca, etc. (sorry about spelling) don't have that great of a look out of life. They laugh sure but mostly they live life for putting people down so they feel superior. Maybe not all but it's definently something I'v noticed.
Or maybe it's a simple fact that you don't know the right Christians and the same for me?

Excuse me, but it sounds as if you have been telling your jokes not to Christians but to Puritans, i.e., people worried that somewhere in the world someone is having fun! Egads!!
I have my Bible right here by the computer and I laugh hard enough to rupture my spleen on a daily basis. I don't step away either! "A cheerful heart is good medicine. "

I think this is not true for all christians, only the extreme ones.
Like with muslims, and any other religion, there are the "normal" ones that live their live and the extreme ones take everything overboard without tolerating anything else
