Legally no, you are paying for the song on that medium.

If you take a soft cloth and use isopropyl alcohol then starting from the center toward the outer edge (parallel to the disk tracks) clean the disk as much as possible.

CDs have a lot of error correction codes, so cleaning it may help make it playable again. If you get to play then rip it and make mp3s or dupe it.

The best place to download music! you pay about 10 cents a song or get 10% off the entire CD, They download as mp3's. I use this because it is not peer to peer. I tried limewhire, and it gave my computer viruses. The downloads are usually very fast.

I've heard that rubbing toothpaste on a scratched CD will get rid of the scratches.

You can buy commercial sratch removal products which should work unless the scratch is down to the data layer. Toothpaste also works & it smells nice
