It is not only savarkar family,the wicked gandhi family had engulfed the sacrifices of all great freedom fighters who sacrificed their life for our country.Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh,Veer Savarkar,Rasbehari Bose,Bagha Jatin,Desbandhu Chittaranjan etc.etc, their sacrifice was not only hijacked but humiliated.We do not know the fate of netaji till date.The cellular jail, where savarkar was imprisoned ,two-third of it was destroyed by congress.Finally protest from all over the nation stopped them .It is the greatest monument of our freedom struggle.Generally the followers of revolutionist theory were tortured brutally by british as they were real threat to british raj. On the other hand ,none of the follower of non-violence was sent to exile in andaman.Savarkar had suffered extreme torture by british.Afterwards he was released long after the freedom.NDA govt named the port-blair airport as VEER SAVARKAR AIRPORT

Gandhi and Nehru were Non violent in their approach and knew that the British government has more arm power. So they preferred the negotiating table. On the other side leaders like Bal gangadhar tilak, Netaji subhash chandra Bose, Vir savarkar, V VS iyer, Shaid Bhagat singh and many others wanted to uproot the british government by force and attain independence.
The second group was branded as anarchists by the British and they were caught all kind of charges framed tortured and killed.
Nehru and Gandhi enjoyed all privileges in prison also except freedom to move out side the Jail.
Gandhi helped the war effort of British to fight against Hitler.
SO when Britishers decided to leave they decided to hand over power to Gandhi and co. ( Nehru was the last of the Englishman)
Once in power the Congress got on to the mission of systematically erasing the memory of the martyrs and perpetuating Gandhi and Nehru as the main people who got independence to India.The present NDA government went to the extent of branding Savarkar as traitor.
I am sure no one in the north has heard about v.v.s iyer.
So long as you vote for congress Savarkar will be atraitor and Sanjay gandhi will be hero.

yes u r correct,he is not recognised due to unpatriotic attitude of vested p in govt ,further india is a slave under Gandhi/Nehru family now upa
