row? Oh yes, and a skunk has a den under the house. It has a well(so free water.) Big from the ground up six ft' wide pine tree in front of the house. What about the deal. It has a stocade fence too. But the house reminds me of "Bonnie and Clyde!"

Sounds like a good plot of land..and its the land which you need. Once you have the land you can get a loan for a house so the house itself doesnt matter much. As someone said ' Buy land, they aint making any more of it."

It sounds good to me, I'm one of those people who love older homes and believe that they should be restored. There's alot of history to them, that's what makes them worth saving. It breaks my heart to see an old torn down to be replaced by something newer. If this land is as charming as it sounds, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat! The skunk den can be taken care of by calling your local forestry agent or animal control and shouldn't cost you much to have them removed and having well water is always the best. By far it tastes better and seems to be colder coming out of the faucet than city water, which has a chemical taste to me.

Good luck with whatever you decide. Purchasing an old fixer upper is a big decision, but one that will pay off in the long run.

Easy enough to get rid of the skunk. She'll leave when she's done with her babies or when she gets hungry enough to come out for food and you shut off the entrance. As for the house, only you can decide if fixing is worth it. I have friends that bulldozed an old house into it's own cellar, covered it up and built a new home over it. All depends on how much time and money you have.

You tdold me very little.. How big is the lot? Is it one acre, two acres. I am assuming that the house is worthless and could not efficiently be repaired thus, a tear down. So.. assume it is a one acre lot. You would then consider the cost of tearing down the house there... and the land.. Is the land (IN YOUR AREA OF THE COUNTRY) worth $25,000.. If it is an acre, then it MIGHT be.. If you are in Arch Bend, Kentucky, it would probably be too expensive.. if you were in San Francisco.. the land alone wouild be worth about $1 million

Who would want to live in Oklahoma? Even the
Joads moved out of there. Remember the Grapes of Wrath?
