The best "type" of music is the music that you love. Anything that makes you happy musically improves your health, mentally, physically (if you excercise it works wonders!) and in your heart. Anything that makes you want to jump around and start rocking out is the best thing for you.
For me it's rock n' roll/metal (I really don't understand the difference, in the words of Billy Joel "It's still rock n' roll to me.") Anytime I hear a great song I just feel better, any stress that I had is gone and I'm peaceful or energized, depending on the time of day.

Rock. It has more variants and more differnet options than any other type of music. Rock is the one kind of music that almost no one has a problem with because there is even Christian rock. I think it prevails.

it all depends on the individual for instance i might think that the smiths make the best music but someone else will think they are crap!

I love trance... i like house as well but nothing gets to me more than trance... i love it... no matter how bad my mood is once i listen to it i feel great... fave dj's are Tiesto, Marco V etc...
