Ok by the way this question is so simple just think about it. Plants need carbon dioxide to live and helps everyone live because when plants absorbe a lot of carbon dioxide and they give out oxygen to help everyone stay a live. If hte plants don't get carbon dioxide they won't be able to produce oxygen and everyone would die because we need oxygen to live and plants need carbon dioxide to live. If people tear down and ruin a lot of plant life our enviroment will not be good. A;so when you talk to a plant or plants your giving them carbon dioxide and they give you oxygen because it's what everyones body is generally made of and plants are generally made of oxygen.

Plants use the carbon dioxide to make sugar, in a process called photosynthesis. The sugar is then used for energy and to make other, more complex compounds. All the carbon compounds in living things originate in plants by this process.

Kes almost had it, but sugar is a carbohydrate, not a hydrocarbon. Hydrocarbons are what's in gasoline.

a lot of people thought that plants do need carbon dioxide for breathing, actually that is wrong! plants need oxygen for breathing like human being as well, and they need carbon dioxide only for photosynthesis.

Plants are made up of hydrocarbons that are built up from the hydrogen in water (H2O) and carbon from CO2. We get the hydrocarbons we need by eating plants and meat. We need oxygen all day long while plants need oxygen only at night when they are not breaking up CO2 using sunlight which produces excess oxygen (for us to breathe!).
