Warm, to open up the pores and allow them to be cleaned out. Follow with a cold rinse to close them back up again. I use hot water when I plan to apply a masque or deep cleaning face cleanser.

Neither you should wash your face with warm, not hot water. I use warm water and a mild cleanser and then only in the morning I like to rinse with cold water just to wake me up and I think it keeps you looking younger longer. At night only use warm water, if you use hot water you could cause more oil glands to open. If you use cold water you may not clean your skin thouroughly. So try what I do. Warm water morning and night and in the morning a quick rinse with cold water.

Hot water will just make your face all red and cold water won't really wash the unwanted oils off well so you should use warm water because it washes unwanted oils without making your face red.

You should use both hot water to open your pores first then use your cleanser. Once your finished you should use a flannel dipped in cold water to close your pores so no more dirt and grime can get in. Think about it hot relaxes you and cold tightens!

consistently wash with heat water this opens the pores up so which you would be able to get a deep clean then as quickly as you're performed washing and rinsing splash your face with chilly water...this makes pores smaller so that is harder for dirt/oil to get trapped.

warm water opens your pours which is good, but if you are useing a lot of soap or some other cleaner, opening your pours can iratate them and lead to blemishes. So use warm water by itself and cold water with cleaners.
