The final answer is

Try to factor by finding its GCF...

First, look at the all of the coefficients and constants, in particular, the:2, 3, and -35.

The GCF of these numbers is 1.

This means nothing can be evenly divided (factored) out of each coefficient and/or constant term.

Now, try to find the GCF of the variables. It will be a term containing variables with the largest exponentsthat will evenly divide out of each term.

The GCF for the variables is 1, meaning no variables can be evenly factored out of this polynomial.

Now, try to find the GCF of any functions (like sin or cos).
This polynomial does not contain any functions that can be factored out.

This polynomial cannot be factored using the GCF method.

I believe you first want to factor out 2X^2 which equals
4+2X+2X+x^2
Combine like terms to get
4+4X+X^2
Then work with the other components giving you
4+(4X+3X)+X^2-35
Again combining like terms you end up with
X^2+7X-31
