Because of the News Media, the Movie Media and the Liberal Politicians in this country and others around the world. The News Media slant their stories to run against Christianity. The Movie Makers make movies that glorify sex, murder, drunkenness and every other sin that you can think of. They make murders look like innocent victims and the religious? They make them look like stupid morons. You can also thank the Television people for this. Not all of them but a great amount of them.
And then of course there is Bill Clinton and his antics. One young girl was caught preforming a sex act on a young boy while ridding on a school bus. When asked about it by her school administrators, she said, "If the president can do it, why can't I?"
Look at Lindsey Lohan's antics. The radio programs like Adam Corolla make it sound cool to stay out all night partying. (Drugs, sex and booze.) And the public here lets this crap go on and on.
The American Civil Liberties Union has been allowed to interpret the law to the point that anarchy is clawing at our door.

And our churches stand by and say and do nothing about it. Our Churches have money to put up a fight, but they do nothing. It makes no sense to me.

Do you mean that they look down on Christians? Some do. After all Christian means Christ-like. When you are a Christian I believe you are suppose to try to live your life as christ lived his. Some people may interpret that as "imitating" christ, but those people are the ones that don't know the meaning of what it is to be a christian.

If all would be as tolerant, compassionate and laid-back as Jesus, yes, the world would be a better place. Thing is that people tend to forget that Jesus was a human being like you and me. With the God status attributed to him, it would mean that all would start to imitate God instead. I don't think the world would be a better place then. One God is enough.

America is led by one of the Anti-Christs (George Walker Bush = 666) and the conservatives are filled with the spirit of Satan. The organized churches of today are temples to Satan. This is why it is so unpopular to do Christ-like activities.

God said, if those who are called by my name would turn away from their evil ways and turn towards me I will heal their lands. This is a promise from God, but the Conservatives are too stupid to read their own Bibles. They love for some teacher in a bible-study to tell them what's in the Bible instead. George Walker Bush and his welfare, in the form of huge tax-cuts is the God they worship.

the world looks down on imitating Christ because Adam sold out to the devil and we now live in a world ruled by satan, so to act contrary to evil seems strange and foolish to others

Of course it would be.

Unfortunately, Jesus is just a pawn used by politicians to get votes and by the Falwell’s and Robertson’s of the country to get rich.

They do not live by the word of Jesus; they use the word of Jesus to manipulate people.

That is why they are all (Dem & Rep) lying hypocrites.

Its too hard.
They are too lazy, too greedy too selfish.Take your pick.
People are too consumed with their meaningless lives to try to do anything nice for anyone else.
