There is so much corruption in our government that it is impossible to begin to investigate it, let alone prosecute it. There is no difference between government and business. Big business owns the government and has since before the Revolutionary War. Banks created in Europe by the Knights Templar funded all the revolutions against monarchies. The banks then replaced the kings and queens, thus creating the false notion that people were working for themselves, rather than for a king. But the taxes on their efforts became interest collected by the banks. The banks own the businesses of the world, and use the "governments" to control the businesses. The banks are always the winners. Take a good look, the banks are consolidating everywhere, and getting much bigger. Banks win.

You're on to something here. Corporations have all of the influence and can manipulate the votes through their control of the media. The population does vote but it's largely a spectator sport that is manipulated by the PR industry, big party contributors and corporations. Large sectors of the population do not vote, not because they're lazy as is alleged but because they are disenfranchised meaning they recognize the game is rigged. If one is flipping a coin to pick the king who cares if the coin is biased?
The government we have is largely the product of corporate influence. The US has the largest welfare system in the world...for corporations not human beings. Realistically we are socializing the operating costs of corporations and privatizing their profits. There is really only one political party in this country and it is the business party; the question is which faction of the business party do you support?
The answer to your question would be to constitutionally recognize that only citizens and legitimate grass roots movements are the only entities that have access to the political system. Then let the chips fall where they may; the country would become vastly more prosperous and noble concepts like eradicating poverty and literacy would become real possibilities.

The last time I checked, our government under the Bush administration was corrupt. In any government or corporation there is always going to be a certain amount of corruption. But to boil it all down to the nutshell, big government and big corporations go hand in hand. There one in the same, you can't have one without the other. But that's just my opinion.

I used to think so. Now I'm not sure anymore. Corporations are a lot smarter than the government.

large government is the priority. the place do you think of the government gets that is funds? They do no longer something to earn it, they tax people and firms. in case you have further and extra people living off of the government, which ability much less and much less people have jobs and are paying taxes. once you have fewer people paying taxes than are receiving the money, the gadget fails. we are seeing the beginning up of the failing now.

The problem is that both of these disreputable sides wield all the power. So the problem remains interminably political, and has no easy solution.

Yes. And I have always felt this way. I boil it down to who better has my interests in mind. Those that I help elect, or my boss?
