I was getting spam text messages which cost me everytime and I never send text messages. So I had that crap turned off. But if I don't know the phone number or a name I know don't show on my callerid I never answer it anyway.

I remember a time when your phone rang it was a real person and someone you knew or was business you need to know about. Anymore it is just some one trying to scam you out of your money. So know me or don't call and remember to turn off the text messanging. It will save you money.

Oh yeah.. I forgot to bring up the fact that it takes for ever to type in a message on a cell phone. I could just call and have it over with and be very clear on what I wanted to say way before anyone could type two words.

Put your glasses on and find something to poke at the keys with and start hunting the right number and hit the 2 three times to get the letter C then wait for it to take and hit the number 2 one time for the letter A and then you have to find the letter R on the 7 key and hit it three times. Wow that was so fast and quick and was so cheap being it cost you 10 cents per text message.. So you just wasted 10 or 15 minutes trying to write this thing and then costed you 10 cents. .humm cool stuff huh.. Voice calls are free on my cell phone plan..

Texting's got it's uses. I hate using any phone unless necessary. But i work shifts and if someone is unable to get me by phone I say leave a text. I will get it soon as I finish work. I do the same if someone is unavailable.

sitting there just texting back & forth is rubbish. I could spend an hour on the phone talking to someone for the price of 6 texts

Well come on - those silly little phones are really nothing more than toys - right?
If people had used them for the purpose for which they were intended, there'd be none of this trouble.

Anybody who has the cheek to use texting on here deserves to be ignored.

It's just big business selling you something that you really do not need.
If you are stupid enough to buy into this primitive technology then you deserve to be shafted.
But in the main it is for idiots and if this site is an indication, there's plenty of them around.

I sure do think that. I also think cellphones are rubbish. Who wants people calling them everywhere they go? I hate picking up the phone at home, let alone when I'm driving or shopping.

I love texting! Without it I probably wouldn't communicate at all. It's better than face to face and having to make polite conversation and I can't be bothered with phoning, takes too long.

I hate texting, but then I also hate answering my phone. More often than not I just "forget" to switch my phone on. What a shame.

I hate it too. I find it so much easier just to pick up the phone & have a real chat

I don't text at all. That's why I have a cell phone. If I wanted to contact you, wouldn't I just call?
