How about a board game, a bit like Monopoly, where you have to travel from state to state. But you have to pick up Souvenirs which are in a stack of cards. Each card has a souvenir worth 1, 2 or 3 points. The Hazards are that there are different routes, each has different sights to see . Where, if you land on it, you miss a turn. and different hazards eg. Go back 3 spaces etc. The longer the journey, the more souvenirs you pick up when you land on the state. The shorter journey, you pick up less souvenirs but when you get if you get to the end state first you pick up 10 points. Make 3 routes across America stopping at say 8/12/16 States. The person who wins is the person who picks up the most points. In each State have about 4 stops. You use a dice to move. You can have as many players (within reason) as you want. It will need refining, IE. Seeing what number of stops per state work with the right number of hazards. But I think it should work.

Well it's got to be original and true to life so you will need a multi sided dice with a number of flats relative to the number of States 49? I think.
They must be so arranged as to show a flat top when it is rolled.
Next you need the States shown pictorially with sufficient graphic art to show there difference.
Now here's the clever bit.
You roll the dice over the board where each player has three go's until one dice hits the same State on the board as the State marked on the dice top.
At this point the room darkens and the players settle down.
All this is possible using a Mac and a little aid from a wireless controlled centre. Don't worry if you have a P.C. it will soon become available.
Now at this point the screen gives the players a snapshot of the State and offers the players to bet among each other as to who is right in his or her's opinion about the people of this State.
This recorded from the questions asked
When each player is finished the facts are shown on the computer screen and points are awarded to the player who has the most right answers.
At the end of the first round, and it is addictive, the players will be arguing as to the validity of the answering device, but don't worry.
By the time each player has a turn there could enough knowledge in the room to have a consensus of opinion?
And like most good games it will be difficult to win because, and wait for it, the winning player is the one whose original opinion was right.
I think it will go down well and perhaps you could make one up for the UK as well while your about it and then we might get better answers on Answers.
Well do you think YOU are up for a little education?
