When it's cold, things contract, consequently there seems to be less air in your tires. I've heard this is true when filling your tank with gasoline, also--it's best to fill on cooler days, so you will get more for your money!!

By Boyle's and Charles' Laws , pressure and volume of a gas are dependent on the temperature.
Since the only variable in your question is the temperature,
Volume being constant , Pressure is directly proportional to the temperature.
So in summer, temperature being higher , the same vol of gas exerts greater pressure, causing the tires to look fatter.

Come to Michigan and check out the concrete walkways, driveways, and roads. It is a prime example cold contractions and heat expansions because of our extreme weather conditions from season to season.

cold things contract including gases, if you put look at an ice cube tray, as the ice melts the water goes over the sides yet it didnt wen it was frozen, thats cos it takes up more space as it gets warmer, same with you tires
