Firstly, what is your desire? motivation? needs? My personal experience will be to equip yourself with more knowledge and in return, apply what you have learn into your work. No lesson that you have learn will go to waste unless you decided is a waste of time. Bear in mind that learning must not stop even when you are back to work force. It just a different topics or skills altogether.
Lastly, learn to help other people as you goes along in your life. This lesson learned is more powerful than any textbook you can find. In return, your personality and characters will be renew when you see the other side of the coin (other's thoughts and needs).
Thanks for allowing me to share.

Yes, make the best of your spare time. Its more difficult to take classes while you're working. Additional education might help you find the job of your dreams.

When I went through a period of both unemployment and not being in school a few years back...I couldn't stand it. I had to throw my brain into overdrive. As a result, I can now passably get by in conversational Japanese.
