People like freedom of speech until they hear something they dont like, then they want to ban it.

No, what does that even mean? How can someone avoid freedom of thought? Thought happens regardless of any regulations and cannot be enforced. Freedom of speech is about the right to voice one's opinions to make them known to the rest of society.
