After all.....he lost his last election, as a US Senator, to a dead man, Mel Carnahan(he died in a plane crash a few weeks before the election).

Would the Republicans like to see John Ashcroft as President? As a Democrat.....I think he'd win.

Will the Republicans please nominate former Attorney General John Ashcroft as their nominee? Please?

John Ashcroft didn't lose to Mel Carnahan. He stepped down rather than take the governorship by default after the Carnahan crashed in a private plane flying in foul weather, when he should have had the sense not to take off. Jean Carnahan, the widow, took the post as governor, did a mediocre job and did not run again. Bob Holden was the next governor and also did a poor job and was replaced after one term. Mel Carnahan ruled the state of Missouri by his veto power, regularly defying the will of the state legislature.

The highly moral, qualified, and outspoken John Ashcroft made a great U.S. Attorney General, and previously a great state Attorney General, Governor, and U.S. Senator, but he will never be nominated for President.

I hope so. Since he even loses elections to dead people.

But you never know. Even W was able to steal elections. So maybe Ashcroft will win. After the opponent "accidently" dies. Republicans are cheating scum of the earth

even if you ensue to love him or no longer, John Ashcroft did an basic and pretty powerfuble pastime as criminal specialist time-honored of america, and before as criminal specialist time-honored, Senator, and Governor of the state of Missouri. As U.S. criminal specialist time-honored, he continually honored his pledge to uphold all the the guidelines of america, such as Roe vs. Wade, that he changed into morally hostile to. he's not and is not a candidate for the Presidency. He changed into confident a lot more advantageous acceptable criminal specialist time-honored than Janet Reno. She screwed up each little thing she did, even before Clinton appointed her. What a awful selection that changed into.

Great idea. In case he declines, perhaps they could get Michael Brown from FEMA to run.
