Popeye mostly ate canned but on occasion when brutus/bluto was getting the best of him and there was a spinach patch near that is what did the trick!!

Well, the Popeye *I* know is from the earlier part of the 20th Century, so his spinach was untainted by the scourges of the End Times (I heard the tv evangelists spewing forth their messages of cheer).

ya he might have but it wouldn't bother him to much,brutus is old now and popeye would still knock him out,popeye is probably shacked up with olive somewhere on a spinach farm now

He was come from the Black Sea .His real name was " Temel Reis" but real food was "Hamsi" who called a some little fish,a kind of fish,anchovy. lol
