Um, we don't have a completely open border policy. That's why its called ILLEGAL limmigration. On the canadian side, there are tons of border agents who scan everyone trying to enter the country. In fact, the Millenium Plot was foiled by one of the border agents. See, they get much less credit than they deserve for helping to keep America safe. Not to mention, how do you want us to keep the extremists out, "Sir, you're an Arab, we have to arrest you." There is more at work than just an whether or not people can enter the US, not to mention other terrorists such as Timothy McVeigh who never had to enter the country. US immigration policy isn't the only thing contributing to terrorism, there is much more at work that many fail grasp.
