well, you didn't say in what language, but im guessing inglish, but THE greatest, most influential, popular, unforgetable band is RBD (it means REBELDE wich means REBEL).

i love that song! it's in spanish.

I'm going to have to go with U2. They have been such as inspiration to other bands. They also use their influence for helping charity causes. I have to say that of all the bands I admire them the most.
