OK the usual answer it a towel, obviously. But just to be different....
What about air? Hang something out to dry in the wind (try a wet towel, hehe); as the air dries the towel, the moisture goes into the air!

When you have all your washing hung out on the line and its drying nicely.... You dont notice its started to rain.... There you go the clothes got wet drying lol
