Hello fellow Republicans!!
Global warming is a total myth, made up by 99% of the scientific(liberal) community to scare people. We all know that carbon monoxide, and dioxide dissipates immediatly, and is no harm to us. The ozone has no holes either! And fossil fuels are the cleanest energy possible.
The same liberals claim the Earth could be millions of years old, and that dinosaurs actually were abundant! Rediculous, the Earth is only 8000 years old, and using the biblical timeframe....they couldn't of existed. Nor early man.
It is time to stop the global warming myth by those liberal scientists trying to scare us to death. We're gonna stop the myth, and we're gonna find those WMD's in Iraq too...using TORTURE!!!
How can we stop the Global Warming myth?

Interesting viewpoint.
Myths are very hard to dispel, especially when supported by 99% of the scientific community. Nowhere in tyhe Bible does it say how old the earth is. I guess a Nazi type regime might do it, but hey they tried that before ...
Thanks for the points.

Not as long as scientific evidence supports the belief that global warming is occuring. The question is best decided by scientists, not politicans (whose great concern is not the earth's ecology but the upcoming mid-term elections).
Remember early on in the earth's history, the earth was not populated by humans, human industry, car emissions, polution, etc., so circumstances are somewhat different.
At the very least, the GOP's questioning of the reality of global warming rivals the Iranian president's questioning that the Holocaust actually occured.

I do think that global warming is a natural occurrence, being enhanced by man. I am sure that is in cycles, I am also sure it will not change enough to hurt me as I am 60, but the younger people should be real concerned. We are poisoning our planet, yes humans are doing it, and over population and fossil fuels are playing a big part in it. Just try to remember that nothing is forever. Nothing.

I can tell you are not a Republican. Here are the facts about the "facts" used in global warming
1. The earth is millions of years old. We have 200-300 years of actual temperature data. The margin of error is much higher than any change in temperature.
2. There are other factors that influence our temperature. For example the sun.
3. If we are responsible for melting the polar ice caps, then who melted them so much that they buried a city underwater where the tsunami hit? Remember, when the water rolled back, an ancient city was found underwater????? How did that happen???????
I am sick of "scientists" quoting anecdotal information as cold hard facts. GLOBAL WARMING IS A THEORY. It is not provable. I am sick of ignorant people acting like it is a fact.
My first point statistically disproves any supposed increase in temperature. My third point shows a legitimately viable explanation that the polar ice caps melt outside of human activity. Since Global Warming is a theory, it is the proposers job to prove it true. I have personally debunked it and I am not a scientist nor ever taken a chemistry class, let alone any other relevant science class.

Do you know that the Republicans will read your question and think that you are really very serious? I know you're not supposed to answer a question with another question, but I wouldn't feed their ignorance by posting a question of this nature.
I did get a sick sort of chuckle out of your comment "We're gonna stop the myth, and we're gonna find those WMD's in Iraq too...using TORTURE!!!" though because the stubborn neo-cons actually have the Republicans brainwashed into believing this sort of horse-crap!!!

You are not sarcastic but in-denial because of your political ideology!
Why dont you put aside your views and start reading journals, datas and research carried out by scientists around the world.
We have satellite, data, evidence, trend and etc. Grow up big boy!

Mmmm not entirely sure its a myth, just don't think they have pinned the correct reason for it. I believe its just a natural earth cycle. the earth has warmed and cooled for millions of years and will continue to do so. Another 50 years we'll all be buying snowboards and skis. Just part of the deal I think.

easy, let's get someone into the whitehouse who is bought and paid for by big energy. we can then take away all of the funding for research being wasted by so called global warming. we can then give the funding to organisations backed by our true and altruistic friends in the fossil fuel industry. sorry I'm feeling dizzy and keep getting a sense of deja vu. failing that we could make a killing by buying land that will eventually be beach front properties

Did you just say it? Don't the people who don't believe in global warming say it all the time? I would say you are getting your message out there you are just looking for a way to convince those that don't believe the same as you, big difference.

Oh sarcasm.......I get it now.
