Why do people think that once we kill Bin Ladin (if he is alive) that the war will be over.?

There are 1.2 BILLION muslims in the world. Lets say 10% of muslims are radicalize. That is 120 MILLION who want us dead. 1/2 of the US population. These muslims are the largest army without a leader in the history of the world. Its not like in WWII, when if we got hitler, it would be over. There are still Nazis today. They have pictures of hitler, but they know they already lost. If we got Bin Ladin, they would just replace him. Which is why we are over there. We can't what till they finnaly get a leader and actually start a real huge war. We can't let these muslims start. We have got to get them know.

Now, "what about freedom of religion". You can chant peacefully all you want, but when you decide or even think that we are evil and that we must die, it is my right and duty as an american citizen to step between you and your belief. When you pick up a gun to start shooting us, I'll sure as hell shoot you first.

You are right, arresting or killing Bin Laden will not solve the worlds problems. Neither did or will going into Iraq. We need to find a way to respect each other. Both sides, as all Muslims and all Christians are not bad, just the 10% that you mentioned. The other 90% on both sides need to step up and say enough of the killing and maiming, or we will end up an empty planet, filled with rotting, stinking dead body's with no future.

They see Bin Laden as the snake's head: once the head is cut off, they reason, then the snake will be dead.

This "war" is beyond an individual. In fact all wars are beyond a person - its like hydra or smth... you cut one head off and 2 more will grow in its place. Less than 0.0001% of Muslims become radicalists. There are only known to be a couple thousand "terrorists". It's only people that have directly had their worlds shattered by US actions that actually go so far as to be willing to die to get back at America. There are more fundamentalists than that...perhaps a couple million or so. These people believe in the dogmatic nonsense and Sharia law and whatnot, but aren't terrorists. The Qu'Ran does not consider Christians to be Infidels. Infidels are people that force people on threat of violence to stop believing in God, whether Christian, Muslim, or Jew! The Qu'Ran is very specific about this.

Never, ever forget that there have been more terrorist attacks on US soil perpetrated by WHITE, MALE, CHRISTIANS than by Muslims. There have been dozens of bombings of hospitals that perform abortions. The olympics in Georgia was bombed by some radical Christian. The Oklahoma City Bombing was by a white Christian.

Stop being an ignorant putz going around claiming that an entire religion is evil...or even 10% of them, just to justify your blood lust! Islam is a very peaceful, spiritual, and generous religion.

If you ever take the time to meet a Persian or Arabic person that hasn't become too westernized, and sit down with them for a while with an open mind and talk without attacking them, you will realize how beautiful, spiritual, sweet, these people are! Just because a few nutcases get all of the media attention, doesn't mean that these people are like that! Just because Pat Robertson is a violent, horrible man that promotes terrorism and has his employees' children's hands cut off as a warning for his slave employees not to revolt, and suggests murder of peaceful leaders....Doesn't mean that all Christians are like that! I certainly am not like that. I believe in taking care of people, not hurting them. I believe in feeding the poor, healing the sick, loving my neighbor, etc.

I think that we should defend our country, but this war on "terrorism" is a farce. We created the "terrorists" by being terrorists over there since the beginning of the 1900's! Non-stop! It is a credit to the peacefulness of these people that they have not stood up and destroyed us! The fact that the Qu'Ran explicitly says not to attack anyone beyond your borders is probably what has kept the West in general and England and America in particular from getting our butts whomped! It'd be awfully hard to fight off 1.2 Billion people!

Should we kill all of the Christians because they commit more terrorist acts than any other religion combined? Whole Christian regimes have gone around terrorising, invading, and occupying other countries. Hitler was a Christian, and claimed Nazi Germany as a Christian State. Bush is a Christian and claims America as a Christian State, yet he kills massive numbers of innocent civilians around the world, tortures people, and when people start squawking about the torture, he tries to get laws passed to retroactively allow his actions!

The people we are fighting in Iraq are not terrorists. They are simply people that are trying to stand up and drive out a tyrranical, oppressive invader of their country...an invader even more tyrranicl than the one they had before. The people of Iraq tried to overthrow Saddam a couple of times. Both times they were promised by Republican Presidents of the US that the US would support them and help them if they would rise up against SH, but then when they did, the US did not help them and they were slaughtered! They just want their country back so they can go about their lives...have food to eat...have water to drink...have electricity to light their houses...have jobs and money...not have to worry about their children picking up unexploded cluster bomb fragments and being killed, etc.

We need to help them rebuild their country and apologize for the horrific actions of our "president", and them leave them alone and stop screwing them over!

If we (the west in general, and particularly the US and England) would stop messing with the Arabic nations and start treating them with respect, they would not hate us. It will take some doing to make up for a century of abuse, but it can be done.

It is impossible and stupid to think that you can keep hitting someone and demand that they stop trying to fight back, and expect them to stop trying to defend themselves when you keep hitting them!

Violence breeds more violence. It's just the way it works. You kill someone's family, torture their wives and sodomize their children, they will do whatever they can to destroy you. You would do the same.

Well, I for sure don't think the war will be over. If he dies, there's always someone else to take his place. I don't understand why they just can't leave things alone and worry about their own country instead of what goes on in ours.
