A lot of people who were supposed to be working in the towers that day had last minute change of plans. My husband who did consulting work at the World Trade center two days a week decided at the last minute to attend a conference in New Jersey on 9/11. I would call that a meaningful coincidence...

When the attacks occurred at 9:30AM, Silverstein was at home debating with his wife about plans to move his headquarters to the 88th floor of the North Tower (One World Trade Center). His son Roger was at 7 World Trade Center but was not hurt.

luck.
I have seen so many of these conspiracy theories.... none of them stand up to serious scrutiny and a lot of them conflict with each other.......so, they have to resort to this sort of 'Isn't this *lucky*..nudge, nudge' sort of innuendo.
Go ask Larry Silverstein if you are really that bothered by it, you D*ckhead
{edit} I cant believe that one of the previous answerers was directing people to the David Icke website.....FFS, DAVID ICKE.!!!! do you not know what a complete nutter that guy is!!!
to origamimark....the twin towers had been unsuccessfully attacked by islamic terrorists before (1997 IIRC)....of course the owners would take out insurance against terrorist attacks
Basicaly this *argument* boils down to "ohhh, isnt that peculiar"
But thats about the level I would expect from someone who contacts me personally to tell me that "Essex is a sh*thole"
well, how can I hope to persuade anyone against such a great debator - in fact I would almost say that karljt is a master de bator
{FFS, I cant believe some of the people on this website!!!}

Did you ever for once stop and think that maybe, just maybe he really did have a doctor's appointment? Oh wait, George W. Bush must have called him and told him he was going to have the buildings hit by islamic terrorists. Does that sound like the answer you really wanted to hear? You are an idiot if you believe all the conspiracy theories.

There is a theory that he knew the attack was going to happen. If the twin towers got destroyed he would make a huge amount of money from insurance claims against a relatively small investment.
And so it came to pass.
He made sure that the buildings were covered against terrorist attack - often excluded from insurance policies. He took the insurance company to court to get twice as much in settlement as they offered, arguing that because it was two planes, it was two seperate incidents.
Some say it was all a setup. Seems very suspicious to me.

Do you think maybe that there is a more reasonable reason for Larry S. and his children being elsewhere that day? Just because they were not there is certainly a dumb reason to suspect a conspiracy. Do you not think that coincidence does not play into major events? Also, you submit this BS as evidence that smells just as rank as your conspiracy claim. Why don't you just shut up and give us a rest?

No but this could have only been a coincidence. I really cant believe he would have known about this, he would have too much to lose and still being alive after this catastrophe he would have been interrogated by the police. This being the case i'm sure they would have found something long before now!

And why was this man allowed to re-build a building that HE pulled???? That is like going to surgery, having the doctor botch the job, and going back to him for additional work!
Tell you why, he signed a 99-year lease just months before he PULLED the building, giving his company the right to do it!
These are facts...not fiction. The video of him saying pull the building cannot be retracted. He said it, we saw it. There were no fireman in that building to "pull out" as he would have us believe. He okayed the demolition of that building and Silverstein Properties rebuilt WTC 7. Look for yourself.

Well, either 9/11 is all part of a massive government initiated coverup involving thousands of people, absolutely none of which have squealed.
OR, of the several thousands of people who work in the World Trade Centres, a few just happened to not show up to work that day?
Now you tell me which is more preposterous?

What a stupid question to have on here, and an insensitive one so soon after the anniversary...people have freewill, and things can change, have you never changed your plans at the last minutes? As for cover up, that has to be the most stupidest muslim fed crap I have ever heard, and yes, I have seen all the other websites and read the essays from the yank geezer who said it was all a load of rubbish and that it never happened...
