First and foremost don't panic! Sometimes it's the baby getting ready for delivery. I am an expectant mother, and some of my friends that I met in child birth classes had the same problem. They were told the following by a health care professional.
1.) Drink something sweet, sugar water is the best. (8 oz)
2.) Lay down on your left side, and get comfortable.
3.) Relax and focus on your tummy, if within two hours you don't feel any movement call your doc, and/or go into the hospital.

*Note- You should feel about 10 kicks or the equivilant during this 2 hour period. If you don't feel right at 10 kicks, say you feel 5, then stay where you are for another hour and raise the total number of kicks to 15.*

If you don't feel anything, then call your doc and see what he wants to do, let him know you've done a kick count at this time, from this time to this time, this is what you felt...

As long as you've had a normal pregnancy I wouldn't worry!

Good Luck!

Have you been active today{ lots of walking bending and stuff} I ask this because your movements lul the baby to sleep. Lay down eat some thing and rest if there is still no movement then Call your doctor. He will tell you weather or not you need to go to the hospital. He may even suggest a fetal Stress test. Don't worry it's not as bad as it sounds ,they just make you lay down and strap a monitor to your belly, then give you a little button to click when you feel the baby move. this monitor also keeps track of the baby's heart beet. Good luck and congrads!

yes u should go just to make sure the baby is ok. I have been to the hospital about 4-6 times within the last 2 months because i didn't feel the baby move. One of these times i went the baby's heartbeat had dropped. I wouldn't have known that if i didn't go. All those times except one the baby turned out to be ok. I was told that i had a high uterus and when he moves the kick is absorbed in the uterus. Don't hestitate to go to the er. Just to ease your mind

I think you should call labor and delivery, because you know starting at 28 weeks you should do the 10 kicks counts and if you don't it maybe a problem. Then it could also be because your so far along and there is no-more room for the baby to move around but just to be safe call labor and delivery.

Don't worry to soon. My midwives told me giv ethe baby 2 1/2 days. If you feel nothing then, call your doctor, midwives, or GBYON. I didn't feel my daughter for almost 4 days, and it freaked me out. But when they did the emergency ultrasound on me, she was just all cuddled up and looked as if she was in a deep sleep. So don't worry, most of the time, they move around when you are completely passed-out. Enjoy being mom. It is so much fun

I have heard that as you get too the later dates of pregnancy the baby moves less because of the lack of space. If you really want to know if your baby is OK I would suggest that you do goto the doctors. This way they could check the baby's heart rate or give you a sonogram... Do not worry your baby is fine... (Good Luck)!!!!!

It is possible that the baby is sleeping or moving very little as
there isn;t much room anymore.
HOWEVER you doctor or the local ER can use a doppler to check for a fetal heart rate.
If you call the ER or the L & D at the hospital they are just going to tell you to either call your doctor or come in to be checked out.
Call your doctor and discuss your concerns with him or her.
This is what you are paying them for.

all the best

The closer you are to giving birth, the less the baby will move because he or she might not have enough space. Call the labor and delivery dept. at your hospital and they'll probably will have you go and take a non-stress test and they will let you know if the baby is ready to be born.

I would definitly call the dr on call and let them know, they will probably have you go get checked especially if this is not normal for you. And it would probably ease your mind. I have heard that if you drink OJ it might also start the baby moving...this is just hearsay as I've not actually tried it but good luck
