You need to visit a local nursery and find an organic pest control for vegetables.

The melons may be overwatered and the moist areas touching the ground are rotting. Regularly lift and turn the melons so one area is not "stuck" to the ground.

Wipe the leaves gently and check regularly for bugs. Also check neighboring plants to see if they're "incubating" your problems...
