A person could die, but not likely

Not necessarily...If you land on your feet you will have a rough landing. If you belly flop you will have a red mark we all know and hate for a while. If you hit your head on the bottom, or forget to hold your breath, you will probably be an obituary candidate. We used to go "dam sliding" at Geist Reservoir outside of Indianapolis. We would sit on top of the dam, slide down the spillway on the mildew/moss that was there (about a 70-foot slide) into about 3-1/2 feet of water at the bottom. As long as we didn't crack our skulls on the concrete dam we were just fine...sure do miss those days...

The results of such a fall would be varied and dependant upon the angle of the body and position of trunk and limbs as the person hits the water. Obviously, rocks or stumps of various sizes, pointedness and position would add other elements of danger. Will one die? Not necessarily. Could one die, yes. Odds? Fate or luck is guess work.

12 Feet is high enough to kill you. People fall down stairs every day in the USA and die. That is not as high. But people have fallen from a lot higher than 12 feet and have lived. So it all up to how you land and if God is watching over you.

Maybe not - but once you are paralyzed (quadraplegia) from broken neck - perhaps you will wish you were dead - or at least hadn't been on the bridge.

It depends on how he/she fell. If he was head first, he's a dead man. But feet first, there's a good chance of survival.

Are you planning of doing it? But anyhow, good chance that you won't as your body (at this height) won't reach its terminal speed that will cause death, upon impact.
