Al Qaeda is stronger than ever, five years after 9/11. Has George W Bush helped this organization, or hurt them? I have my own thoughts on this subject will withold them for now so as not to influence other opinions.

Bin Laden has not been seen publicly in over 5 years. His organization has grown to the point that it can run largely without him. His image does cause inspiration to those who hate the U.S., and the west in general. But that image would serve as well in death as in life. However, the American President can be said to have fermented this hatred of the west to a level never seen since the creation of this country. Many would argue with just cause that he alone has caused even the citizens of our ally countries to call for his downfall and to despise the U.S. for it's policies of aggression, human rights abuse and intolerance. This one man may have inspired more hatred throughout the world than the entire Al Qaeda organization. Through his words and his unprovoked war of aggression he has created thousands of terrorists for every one killed. Who ever heard of “Al Qaeda in Iraq” before the U.S. invasion? It was created from the U.S. devastation unleashed on that country.

While Bush is a hapless and feckless president, the world would be a lot safer if Osama Bin Laden were dead. Bush's ignorant and provocative "evil doers" rhetoric has probably increased membership in Al Qaeda, his reckless foray into Iraq has cost many Americans their lives (needlessly) but Bin Laden continues to be the West's worst nightmare.

The death of ANY US President, including George W Bush, would have a much larger impact on the world than the death of Osama Bin Laden. When a leader of a nation dies while serving office, there is a large amount of uncertainty from the nations of the world regarding future policies of the U.S.
Osama Bin Laden's death will have very little impact on the world. He doesn't have any control over his terror organization since the U.S. liberated Afghanistan from the Taliban. Al Qaida doesn't depend on a single individual like Osama Bin Laden - it's ideology of hatred and Islamic Facism is born from evil, desperate people, who will continue on no matter who is the President of the US.

Hahahaha! good question. Whilst only Americans have the arrogance to say that the death of any American Presdent would have a big impact on the World, the reality is that if Osama dies there are many devotees who will pick up the flame of truth and justice and continue to try to right the wrongs of the Palestinians who have been brutalised by the Israelis in ways worse than any Nazi regime and for over 40 (yes) 40 years and which, in part , brought about the 9-11 tragedy!
But when Bush goes (heaven be praised) who can we think of that would be his disciple? Someone who wants to premptively strike anywhere on the planet, use the CIA to subvert intact states, continue to use torture and lies to pursue the American preservation of life styles, set up a police state under the guise of defending the great American people, who can we think of that would want to do that? Well, almost any poorly educated`redneck in middle America actually :)

Bush. There would be dancing in the streets everywhere. One of the two major psychopaths in the world (the other is bin Laden) would be gone. Who has been responsible for more deaths, Bush or bin Laden? How many Iraqis have died since Bush sent the troops in? Those are all on his head, not bin Laden's. That makes Bush the bigger terrorist and he would not be missed by the civilized world.

The death of GW Bush would have a greater impact on the world. But that's not saying much. The death of either of these persons would not measurably alter history. But do not take this to mean that Bush has done nothing significant; what GW Bush has done while he was alive is another matter entirely!!

Bin Laden's! He is the founder of a movement, whereas GWB is merely a US president and will cease being so in just over 2 years!
