Alle meine Entchen.....
That was a song from germany that a neighbors kid always sang.
Always cracked me up.lol
Goes kinda like this ,translated..
"All my ducks swim on the pond ..swim on the pond...
heads under water,tails in the air...}
Of course the little twerp always acted like a duck and stuck his butt in the air , how funny was that.lol

Whoever nominated the theme from the 'Banana Splits' has just sent a rewind button going, and I'm now watching those opening credits again in my mind - dogs on slides, hmmmmmm!
For me, it's the closing theme from Sesame Street - not the 'on my way, to where the air is sweet' opening song, but the very cool saxophone track at the end, where those redoubtable TV producers, The Number Seven, The Letter C and their colleagues, were recognised for bringing the show to you.

Ring around the rosy, pocketful of posey, ashes to ashes we all fall down. It always brings a smile to my face. A close second would be: " This Old Man." With a knick-knack, paddy whack give a dog a bone. Not a lot of meaning, but I liked the sound of it.

Id have to say the theme from the Banana Splitz. That just reminds me of the great summers I had as a child. Honestly, thats one tune that I couldnt stay depressed if I hear it.

♫ Hush little baby don't say a word,
Momma's gonna buy you a mockingbird.
If that mockingbird won't sing,
Momma's gonna buy you a diamond ring....... ♫
I loved that song so much! My mother used to sing it to me.......even when I was laying on my bed crying when I was in high school because someone had broken my heart. Today.....I still sing it to my girls. I guess some things stay with you....and you just realize that they are more than a song.......but a gesture of love. :)

What else...."If you're happy and you know it...."? You can't be sad during that song!! Oh, and that one "Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts, mutilated monkey meat, chopped up baby parakeet..." Kinda gross, but it's fun to sing.
