Like usually means that there is some attraction! But the most important part of the message comes through the body language and the voice.

It could, but usually like is not as strong a word as love. I might say to an acquaintance "I like you" but I would only say "I love you" to someone I care deeply about (my boyfriend or my family). When my boyfriend & I first started we said "I like you" to each other because it was too soon to use the word love, but after a while we both said "I love you" because we knew our feelings were much deeper.
If you want a compliment, I think you're a sweet, innocent girl! You're welcome!

Yes & No ... it all depends how it was said, who said it, what the situation was ... etcetera... people are not the same, some are straight to the point and some ask you to read between the lines. it also depends on how you two look at it, based on the mutual understanding and all that kind of stuff.

Yeah...I like you is usually when the person wants to start a relationship, or just wants to tell you.... but beware of the "L" word..(love)...it causes more pain than anything in this world!

like and love are two different things. when someone says I like you they want to date you and when they say I love you, sometimes it means they want to marry you and spend the rest of your lifes together as man and wife

Like is what you have to start a relationship with.
Love comes at a far later point in time.
