I thnk the better question would be, "Isn't it time England had a prime minister who represented the views of the people of England."
Britain is composed of 4 countries and does not have a prime minister
Here in Canada, you have to be a Canadian citizen to be prime minister. If it is the same in England, you could never have a Pakistani or Indian prime minister, though you could have an English citizen who comes from another heritage.
India and Pakistan don't get along too well, so how you group these two under the same umbrella is beyond me. Further, Indian and Pakistani prime ministers (Prime Ministers of the countries of Indian and Pakistan) have not exactly been known for their altruism and for representing their peoples. The corruption in those countries is even acknowledged officially. Surely you are not suggesting that England would do better under such a model of rule?
It would solve a lot of problems if all folk living in a country would unite under one flag and stop thinking of themselves as "other".
If you are an English citizen, then you are English, not Pakistani or Indian.
take a look at canada, somehow we are all Canadian
If the p.m. has to be Christian or white skinned, how do you explain Disraeli, a dark-skinned Jew who managed to become Prime Minister in England?

India has a de facto Italian prime minister. Pak should have someone else than Musharraf.

Why an Indian or Pakistani exclusively? Why not Chinese or Korean, or Czech or Romanian.. or Irish for that matter.

If it comes to that, I would hope the Brits would do the honorable thing and nuke themselves.
