go to the docs, tell him you suspect your thyroid gland is playing up, tell him you want a blood test to check your t4 and tft's.
if he says no, tell him you want the test, docs are crap at diagonsing thyroid problems.
Do a search on google for thyroxine or thyroid problems.

It could be your thyroid but your doctor is the best person to help you, they can do tests and examine you, whic we can't do on here!

I know most blokes tend to avoid their GP but give them a chance, it's always a good idea to get a general check up (from GP or practise nurse) if you haven't been for a while then they can either fix whatever's wrong or give you a clean bill of health so you don't need to worry any more.

If you consult a physician, ask for a fasting blood insulin test. This will rule out pre-diabetic conditions as a reason for your excessive body heat.

My husband is noticing this problem. He has high insulin, high blood pressure, gluten (grain) intolerance, and lactose intolerance. He is still eating sugary foods, caffeinated drinks and candy, so I think that is why he is still experiencing this problem. My hot flashes are under better control absent those foods.

Are you on any medications? Some medications affect your internal thermostat. Read the insert that comes with your medication for further info., if you are on any.

If that is your only symptom I would put it down to the strange weather
If you are also thirsty/tired/hyperactive/in pain, then get it checked out
