The heart starts functioning even while the foetus is forming inn to a baby in the womb and continues to do so incessantly withur rest till the end of life . It has also to withstnd the pressure of the blod when the musclessqueez the blood to push it through the blood vessels running all ove the body and the net work of capillaries of microscopic sizes supplying blood with nutrients to the cells of all the orgns of th ebody. it needs great pressure to push the blood throgh the microscopic capillaries that are running all ove the body and the organs to reach every single cell of the body.The heart is as pump of the blood has to exert great pressure to push teh blood through all the capillaries and should necessarily be strong enough to o this . Any weak muscle will cause the haert to enlarge to the extent of reducing th epressure resulting the the supply of blood not reaching all the vital organs of the body leading which might not get the nutrients and xygen needed for their functioning, leading to the death of the organ and the individual.
