If you feel that you are financially stable and that you are prepared to answer questions the child might have about not having a mom and you needing to provide the love for both parents.. then yes. I feel that if desire to have a child and you don't want to marry than you should go for it. There are a ton of kids that would love to go to a great home with a loving parent, even if it's just you. Could I possibly suggest adopting a child that is not from the U.S? That way you're helping out a child htat truely needs you. :O) Good luck in your endeavors!

no if you never intend to get married i do not think you should try and adopt a child....even if they were to let you...i think a child should have two parents, if at all possible especially if they are adopted...it does not look good to my opinion and a child needs more than a single person could give ...and i know plenty of single people do have children but it is hard to really give them all they need and spend the time with them too....

You will need a very steady relationship and the alot of commitment from you both. A baby is not like buying a pair of shoes where you can return them.
If you like alot of work and can spend oodles of time on a child then I say go for it.

Nothing wrong with being unmarried but the adoption agency might not like it. (check out their required preferences)

Good luck.

Sorry, but if you have a hard time dealing with the responsibilities of marriage you sure don't need a child. There is a lot more responsibilities in raising them, than having a spat of money, or who's watching what on T.V. If you want to learn responsibility get a dog.

yes it is a very wise question. why staying alone for your whole life? children always bring joy in our lives and by adopting one you help a child as well. think about it really carefully and if you still want to adopt then go for it!
i believe you won't regret it,it's a wonderful experience.

Personally, I won't advise it....however, if you believe you are capable of raising a child on your own, then go for it.

Note: you may not be able to (most adoption agencies would prefer to give children to hetero-sexual married couples who can prove they can provide a stable, secure environment), and if so, your boundaries to doing so may be great.

Very nice thought. but you hv to realize tht if in future u get into a relationship, the kid shld be fine with it. Also, be sure to give the kid the time he/she deserves since he/she wont be having any other person around most of the time.
also, think about sponsoring a kid instead if you have doubts about this.

I know plenty of very good single parents. You should, however have a good support system (friends and parents) that will help out when necessary. You need financial stability also (daycare will be necessary because you will also need to work, and daycare is expensive). It will change your life.
