How it's possible that after more than 5 centuries of occupation (some) people still discriminates natives? Why the occidental world suffer of this strong eurocentrical vision? (the same happens in Australia, South Africa and other countries).

It is really sad that there is discrimination in the world, but once a stereotype or a discrimination is started it usually doesn't stop. People get stuck on values that they think are true and don't try to overcome stereotypes. The white man came into this country and raped the natives of their land, gave them diseases, destroyed their culture, and poluted their sacred land. They thought of natives as a lower people and it continued through generations and probably will continue forever. The population of Native Americans is deteriorating also, soon enough there will be barely any left in the country. It happens with every culture the white man has put down, they take over a nation and destroy the people. Then they blame the people they destroyed for their problems, not themselves. And they shame anyone who tries to help them put their culture back together. Just don't be ignorant of other cultures and you can help the prejudice go away. There isn't much you can do about other people's views except choose to not give them attention or inform them that you believe their views are wrong and if they choose to listen you can tell them why.

Now they have TAX FREE GAMBLING, TAX FREE BOOZE, TAX FREE CIGARETTES and most tribes are making enough money to buy back Manhattan with pocket cash!
