John Deere has several models of riding lawn mowers, such as the 100 Series; the X300 Series; the X 500 Series; and the X 700 Series. These are all heavy, solidly built dependable units and all American made. They are not inexpensive but they will serve you for many years and they hold their value.

I know people who buy use ones of 20 years old and older and continue to use them for many years. They are not plastic junk.

Cub Cadet is the only way to go.They are the only ones with cast front axle and powered by the good old Koler or briggsand straton.I've had mine for fifteen years and it's still going strong. The only thing i've had to replace is belts and blades.
