I am thinking of purchasing a 2 GB or 4 GB memory stick pro duo for my Sonyericsson 910i mobile phone. I would like to know which performance and durability wise is the best card from the different manufacturers that make them. Example, Sony,Sandisk, Secure digital and Lexar.

I'd always aim for Sony, simply because you're dealing with the main "owner" of the technology.
Sandisk is equally good, mainly because they're fully compliant with "magicgate" system, which basically protects Copyrights data but with a great plus: price.
Secure Digital (SD) seems to me like another type of media entirely... if someone is marketing memory sticks under that name, they should read a bit more the manuals (which probably come in Chinese just like all the others) of their own products.
Lexar is coming strong as well (my opinion is that as long as they offer at least 3 years warranty, you're probably covered) but I'd still go with the two first contenders.
Two things to consider whenever buying memory:
1) Make sure you KNOW who you're buying it from... eBay is quite good, if you're buying from somebody with higher than 98% positive feedback (pay attention to the description, Postage costs and your guarantee, and give preference to local -UK BASED- sellers)
2) A "too good to be true" deal, generally speaking is exactly that; so be extra careful with the Tottenham Court Road salespeople from the smaller shops. Make sure you KNOW what you're buying and if you don't know, take somebody that knows with you. You are not obliged to buy anything... it's their job to try and make a sale, so don't accept being pushed.
Best luck!

Ok well I know that a 2gb stick is going for £100 I think at Carphone warehouse. The 4gb one i haven't seen yet but you can prob get it at Tottenham court road for a deal.

Sanddisk is good, though memory only goes up to 1gb i think. Am not completely sure, and it's around £30/£40 cheaper than the SOny brand.

I would suggest the sony as its seems to be the best quality and in my eyes if u can stick with the manufactor u should. I had a P910i and only used the sony stick and never had any probs . It can be immediatley recognised once inserted in the handset, with some of the others u have to actually go in to the option.
